Verizon TV vs. competitors

Verizon Fios TV outshines competitors due to the high channel count of 425+. DISH and DIRECTV have better availability since they can serve most of the U.S., but they do have lower channel counts than the best Verizon Fios plan.

Does Verizon TV meet our standards?

Overall, Verizon Fios TV is one of the better TV providers we’ve seen. It’s one of the only providers that allows you to truly customize your lineup with the Your Fios TV plan. If you’re not sure what channels you want, you can also test drive everything Fios TV has to offer for two months for the price of its cheapest plan.

One of the biggest downsides is that Verizon’s equipment and DVR fees are on the pricey side (both $12/mo.). But if you want unlimited DVR and no equipment fees, you can also subscribe to YouTube TV through Verizon. That said, there’s no real advantage to going through Verizon rather than YouTube TV directly.
