“This place is fantastic. The decor is tasteful and there is ample seating. Great authentic Mexican food as well as Tex-Mex and American cuisine. My go-to are the al-pastor street tacos. They are perfection and come with a side of chips. Their red and green salsas are great but my favorite is their hot sauce which you have to special request. It comes in a tiny container and is extremely spicy and delicious. Their queso and guacamole are also fantastic and come in 3 sizes depending on how hungry you are. They even had horchata and hibiscus tea (aka sorrel for Caribbean folks)! My friends have tried their burgers, fries, burritos, quesadillas, salads and apparently they are excellent. They often have long lines during lunch but they take your order and bring your food to your table extremely quickly. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been a customer for many many years, since back in the day when their restaurant was less than half the size it is today. It is wonderful to see how they have grown and flourished while maintaining their exceptional standards.“

“I just moved here and me and my wife wanted to try something new to us in the area and we came here. We were greeted quickly and seated right away. They took our drink order and brought us chips and salsa with the drinks. We ordered a cheese dip and it came out instantly. Placed our order, my wife got the pick 2, she chose the chicken quesadilla and a chile relleno, which came with rice and beans. “For my money, the best taco truck in Birmingham. Parked in the lot of the Shell gas station, and they now have a pavilion with picnic tables for those who might want to eat there!My favorites are the chorizo, pastor, and lengua tacos. Both red and green salsas are excellent, and the double tortilla on each taco is welcome to help contain the generous filling. For those who don't like cilantro, however, be prepared to pick it off; my requests for no cilantro seem to never make their way to the appropriate person. Don't mind a little extra work on my part, though, to enjoy this outstanding street food.

“The tacos, omg!! The best tacos I’ve ever had. It’s soooo so yummy! They have cabeza, lengua, and then also your regular tacos like chicken, al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, and so on. I’m telling you. These are some of the best tacos around. It’s so flavorful and spicy! The green sauce and red sauce are so good. They make the tacos fire, if you’re into spicy food. I always get a jarritos drink to go with my meal too. Wow, so good! 10/10.The only down side is that it’s a small area for sitting down, so if you come at lunch time, it gets pretty full. There’s also a little shop attached to the restaurant, where you can shop for some Latino goods. I get my hot sauces here. I love this place! Truly a hidden gem!! Yes, most employees only speak Spanish, but they still understand when you speak simple English and ask for what you need plainly.“
