Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be making a return soon thanks to a free next-gen update shortly followed by a new season pass for the game that will begin with a DLC focusing on Bardock, the Father of Goku. Fans can expect to play as Bardock in January 2023.
Fans should be ready to return to play as some of their favorite characters in the franchise, like Gohan. Gohan is an exceptional warrior and has one of the greatest potentials in the series, having even more potential than Goku and Vegeta. However, a few others may edge him out with even more impressive upper limits.
Majin Buu Has Potential But Weakens Quickly
Majin Buu already proved that he can grow far stronger than his usual state when he puts his mind to it and trains. This isn't surprising when Buu was the strongest foe the heroes faced in Dragon Ball Z and was one of the two only threats that Frieza had ever feared.

Buu is already incredibly powerful normally, but his potential is greater than most fighters in the series. The only downfall of this is that Buu can lose the gains he obtains in power rather quickly. So while he does have more potential than Gohan, his laziness makes him lose most of his gains fast.
Androids 17 & 18 Don't Need Much Training To Get Stronger
Androids 17 and 18, two of the strongest androids in Dragon Ball, were enhanced by Dr. Gero, giving the two of them mechanical bodies. They're both incredibly powerful and have infinite energy. Dragon Ball Super proved that the two of them could grow even stronger with Android 17 even matching Super Saiyan Blue Goku in power thanks to his training over the years.
For a being who hasn't been fighting against gods and has been training by himself on Earth, this is incredibly impressive. This shows that if 17 and 18 had a better training environment they could grow even stronger and have some of the greatest potentials in the series.
Broly Grows Stronger Faster Than Any Saiyan
While fans didn't have the opportunity to see the canon Broly in the series until the Dragon Ball Super era, the man had still been training throughout the past few decades. Albeit, it was more him living and adapting to a world that had dramatically high power levels.
But Broly has the exceptional ability to grow stronger and stronger in battle at a far more impressive rate than any normal Saiyan. At the beginning of his battle against Goku and Vegeta, he was relatively on par with them individually and by the end, he was almost holding his own with Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta. Broly's strength is truly impressive and his potential even more so.
Trunks May Outgrow His Future Counterpart
Unlike Future Trunks, the Trunks of the present timeline has showcased far more potential and had a lot more at a young age. Trunks was one of the youngest Super Saiyans seen in the series and part of his growth in strength is thanks to Vegeta training him at a young age.

Regardless, Trunks's gains in power are more impressive even than Gohan's were at his age despite Gohan being in constant intense battles throughout his youth. While Future Trunks certainly doesn't have as much potential as Gohan, the present timeline Trunks has more.
Jiren Is Already Near The Top Of The Multiverse
Jiren displayed himself as one of the strongest fighters in the multiverse. In fact, it seemed next to impossible that Goku would ever surpass him with his power seeming to be a bottomless pit. However, Goku's mastered Ultra Instinct form was finally enough to fight on par with and surpass Jiren.
Jiren's incredible strength has been attained through years of training, and it's likely he still hasn't reached his full potential. He's avoided many other quick ways to power like training to become a god of destruction. Even though Gohan gained abnormal power in one of the best Dragon Ball films, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, it still doesn't seem likely that he has even surpassed Jiren yet.
Goten Is The Youngest Saiyan To Turn Into A Super Saiyan
Goten is currently the youngest Saiyan to ever transform into a Super Saiyan and has more potential than both Goku and Vegeta. Those feats alone are already incredibly impressive, but what's more, is that he hardly had any training to reach this power. Chi Chi did train him a little and Goten did spar with Trunks occasionally, but his first real training isn't until he trains with Gohan.
Seeing that Goten's journey begins at such a higher level than Gohan's it's no question that Goten should have even more potential than his older brother. Perhaps fans will get to see Goten even surpass Gohan in the future.
Bulla May Have Been Born With God Ki
Bulla is a hybrid Saiyan just like Goten, Trunks, and Gohan, so there's really no question that she will be an incredibly powerful warrior when she grows up. Many fans believe that she has more potential than the others due to her possibly inheriting god ki from Vegeta.
If this theory were proven true, Bulla would no doubt have far more potential than any Saiyan so far seen in the series. However, whether fans will get to see her become a fighter like they will Pan is unknown. Whether it was the end of Dragon Ball Z or Dragon Ball GT, Bulla has never been seen fighting.
Uub Already Has Incredible Strength
Majin Buu already has more potential than Gohan, so it's no surprise that Uub should too, being the reincarnation of the original Majin Buu. Not only did Uub inherit Majin Buu's raw power, but he also can grow much stronger as Goku intends to train him into an opponent that he can give him a challenge one day.

Fans also learned in the Dragon Ball Super manga that Uub actually possesses divine ki, something that already makes him a unique fighter. Having divine ki at such a young age will increase his potential even further.
Frieza Makes Use Of Strong Training
Frieza demonstrated in Resurrection 'F' that a few months of training would make him more than strong enough to defeat Goku and Vegeta, no matter what level they had obtained. This was true, though, of course, Frieza had not mastered the stamina drain of his new power.
Even more recently in Dragon Ball Super, Frieza has showcased one of the strongest and best transformations in Dragon Ball after training in a Hyperbolic Time Chamber for 10 years. The insane new power that Frieza obtained allowed him to effortlessly defeat both Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta.
Cell Has The Potential To Be Even More Perfect
Cell doesn't simply have just the cells of the Saiyans, but he also has the cells of Frieza and his father King Cold. There is no doubt that Cell has more potential than any other character in the franchise thanks to being built up of characters with already insane potential.
Cell never trains in the series, as if he did, that would contradict the belief that he was perfect, because training would prove that he needed more strength and if he needed more strength, then he wasn't the best warrior. However, if Cell ever had an opportunity like Frieza he'd take it, and would easily be the most dangerous foe.
